The Plant is hosting its Piedmont Pear Party on August 16 from noon to 6 p.m. This late-summer gathering features a pear-inspired culinary competition, live music, local vendors, handcrafted products and plenty of delicious food and drinks. The culinary competition begins at 1 p.m., challenging creative cooks to make pears the star ingredient in an original dish.
